Christy Marie is a visual artist and photographer born and bread in Tampa, Florida. She has immersed and developed herself in the medium of photography for 10  years. Marie’s work focuses on portraying people of color in a diverse light while exploring the problematic narrative of mass media. Passionate about influencing change, she continuously uses her art as an outlet for activism, creating necessary dialogue.

Christy has showcased in numerous exhibits and shown work in the Dr. Carter G. Woodson Museum.  She has been published on creative platforms such as Vice, Afropunk, For Harriet, Colorlines, Beyond Classically Beautiful, and Creative Loafing. Aside from the visual art, Christy thoroughly enjoys helping others celebrate life! In stark contrast to her art,  her career as a photographer is reflected through colorful and vibrant images of people from vast backgrounds.
